Dear Friends, after the exciting football game yesterday between Spain and Portugal we have the first finalist in Euro 2012 already announced – Spain! To heat even more the emotions for the future game we have invited our Food and Beverage Manager – Mr. Ivan Luna, a Spaniard from Barcelona – to share his football partialities….
– Good morning, Ivan, and thank you for your time. Today we’ll talk about Euro 2012. It has become a real buzzword recently.
– How long have you been working here at Radisson Royal, Moscow and what are your impressions about Moscow, Russian people and working here?
I have been working in Radisson Royal Hotel Moscow just over a year. Definitely, nowadays Moscow is one of the greatest cities of the world; it is a changing and developing city. Those changes are influencing in hospitality business. Our guest has been traveling to other countries and every time they have high hotel service expectations. “Guests are our inspiration” Fulfilling the wishes of the guest and developing staff is our main goal.
New generation of Russians are well prepared and willing to learn hospitality business from international point of view. Personally I enjoy working with people, regardless their nationality. Important is to be PASSIONATE and LOVE what you do.
– We can already guess which team you support during the Euro ’12?
Yes, I’m supporting Spain.
– Who is your favorite player in your team?
There are very many exceptional players on the national Spanish team and also in others National teams, i.e Steve Gerard, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Xavi, Ronne, Pirlo…
But, there is one player who is MAGIC, This is Andres Iniesta!!! He is just different, He is special!!!
– What are your predictions for tonight’s semi-final match between Germany and Italy?
I think Italy will win the match.
– And why do you think Italy will win?
Because nobody expects Italy to win, everybody thinks that Germany will win. We don’t have to forget that Italian National team is always unpredictable and should not be underestimated.
– We need your prediction – who will win the 2012 and with what scores?
This is a really difficult question. For example, Last Champion league prediction were FC Barcelona and Madrid, and the final was Bayer Munich vs. Chelsea. This is the beauty of the football, it is unpredictable.
But, if I have to pick a winner team, of course Spain with 2:1!!!
